This lightweight stool features Rolf’s signature contoured timber seat and through-tenon joinery. Available in Victorian blackwood and other timbers by request. The Lilypad stool is Rolf’s signature piece and is built in limited batch production runs. (Pictured here in Ottways Blackwood.) ($858 each inc. GST).
For a client who loves to entertain, this large 12 seater table is made from stunning,
highly figured river redgum timber. Rolf designed this ‘big impact’ table for a family with four young boys. It had to do justice to the timber while being bulletproof enough to handle the rigours of a young family. Rolf designed and made 12 matching chairs featuring timber seats. You can sit in comfort on the chairs for a whole evening without a thought for the couches in the other room.
This 16-chair boardroom table is possibly one of the largest solid timber tables in the country measuring 4.8m x 2.0m. Rolf designed the under structure so that it could both support the top (weighing in at 330 kilos) and still allow leg room. Especially challenging were the counter-sunk boxes within the top. The triangulated leg structure is an original design and suited the formed concrete building beautifully.
An imposing bar stool featuring Rolf’s signature contour-shaped timber seat.
Rolf wanted the seat to be part of the structure and he used his favourite joinery, the dovetail. Bigger than the Lilypad stool, the twin dovetail stool is comfortable and durable but still lightweight.
